Biography

Education

Caroline graduated from Limerick School of Art and Design in 1998 with a BA (Hons) degree in Fine Art Painting. She later went on to study Community Education at Dundee University and graduated in 2006 with a Post Graduate Diploma in Community Education and in 2009 with an MSc degree in Community Learning and Development.

Painting

Her work has always been inspired by social anthropology and how human beings engage with each other and the world around them. The current focus on children is inspired by their instinctive behaviour and lack of knowledge of social conventions and the journey they take through their early years to adulthood.

As well exhibiting her work Caroline also takes on private and commercial commissions.

Community

Caroline has over 12 years experience working in the arts, community arts and education in both formal and informal settings with adults, children, young people, and families. This work has included long term projects such as Arts with the elderly and dementia sufferers, arts-mentoring with disaffected youth, shorter term projects and one off workshops.
